Marie was born in Canada, in the province of Quebec, and yes! she also speaks French fluently. In the 70’s, her desire to explore the world, led her to settle in Australia. In the 80’s, after completing a Masters in Clinical Psychology at the University of NSW, she worked in various mental health services in the Sydney area. In the 90’s, the whole family moved to Northern NSW.
After a painful divorce in 1985 and a close friend dying from cancer in 1986, Marie was on a spiritual quest where she had the opportunity to study and practice at various times: Christian Psychology, "A Course in Miracles", Hinduism and Buddhism. Currently, she is exploring the non-dual teachings and meditations presented by Rupert Spira from the Advaita Vedanta tradition.
In 2000, her family of 5 children were growing, becoming more independent, so she re-focused again on her career. Marie had a successful private practice Bloomfield Psychology in Canberra before she relocated to the Gold Coast to continue to offer face to face or online psychological sessions as well as group programs in mindfulness and self-compassion.
